LDA Plants 3 Miyawaki Forests Against Smoke

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Agency (LDA) plans to develop three Miyawaki forests in the city.

Miyawaki helps fight forest fog that causes serious health problems.

Many factories in Lahore provide home working facilities to make employees comfortable.

According to the details, the forests under the LDA will be developed into housing units and the government has allocated PKR 96.9 million for the eco-friendly project.

Below is the schematic location of Miyawaki Forests

  • LDA Avenue-1K&D Block
  • Cooked City Block-S
  • Mahalanwal-C Schematic Block
  • The program will begin on November 21 and is expected to last a month.

The LDA plans to establish a total of 27 Miyawaki forests, which will also be restored soon.

Earlier, the Capital Development Agency announced plans to develop the world’s largest urban Miyawaki forest in Islamabad.
